Rumiñahui is known for its elongated crater and snow-capped peaks, which offer challenging terrain for climbers and hikers. The mountain is surrounded by lush Andean moors and provides spectacular views of Quito and nearby volcanoes such as Cotopaxi and Iliniza. The area is also home to rich biodiversity, including diverse species of flora and fauna adapted to high-altitude conditions.

  • Departure 07:00 a.m. Quito
  • Travel by the Panamericana South to Cotopaxi National Park.
  • Entrance to the National Park.
  • Arrival to Limpiopungo Lagoon.
  • Explanation by the guide for hiking up, 4 hours approx.
  • Time for photography, rest, hydration and box lunch.
  • Hiking down 3 hours approx.
  • Return to Quito.
