The Corazón Volcano, located in the province of Pichincha, Ecuador, is part of the western Andes mountain range. With an altitude of 4,790 meters, it is a popular destination for hiking. The area is surrounded by Andean moors, with panoramic views of the Chillos Valley and other nearby volcanoes such as Cotopaxi and Ilinizas. In addition to its moderate ascent routes, it is an ideal place to enjoy the local biodiversity and the tranquility of nature.

  • Departure 07:00 a.m. Quito.
  • Travel by the Panamerican Highway towards Mejia.
  • Technical stop in Machachi.
  • After that we will continue our journey up to 3.600m.
  • Explanation by the guide for the hiking up, 4 hours approx.
  • Time for photography, rest, hydration and box lunch.
  • Hiking down 3 hours approx.
  • Back to Quito.
