Carihuairazo Volcano is a volcanic peak located in the Ecuadorian Andes, near Chimborazo. With an altitude of 5,018 meters, it is a popular place for hiking and mountaineering. The "Frozen Lagoon Hiking" route stands out for its impressive landscapes, including the Laguna Congelada, a glacial lagoon at the base of the volcano. During the hike, hikers enjoy panoramic views of nearby snow-capped mountains, Andean fauna and paramo landscapes. Although less crowded than Chimborazo, Carihuairazo offers an adventure experience in an impressive natural environment.
